Walk A Mile

Marc Jacobs
I'm not going to write a long winded, beauty recap of NYC Fashion Week Spring 2013. One, because everybody and their grandmother has already posted, blogged, wrote, and filmed about it. Two, because it makes my feet hurt. Like seriously ache, kill, blister, standing for thirteen hours at a time, running around like a mad woman, the frenetic energy. Thank Golly, for Zuca Pro Kits, with a built in seat. Every makeup artist's wet dream. I hate walking the catwalk. Made me grumpy, nervous. No thank you, sirree. It's all about Zen living for me. Blogger becauseI'maddicted Geri Hirsch covered the week so well, with her adorable LEAF videos on StyleHaul.
I'll leave you with an empty pocket full of wisdom, and my two cents.
NARS killed it. I loved every look, the backstage vibe. Francois Nars remains the master of color, and Zen Island living.
The emphasis this season was on the full brow and natural skin.
MAC Cosmetics' & VP of Makeup Gordon Espinet dominated the scene, with over 80 shows. Maybelline's presence was known. Queen Victoria Beckham requested Revlon, and the infamous, Gucci Westman.

I'll leave you with a few, favorite makeup looks, and then it's lights out. 'Til we meet again.

Anything Goes

Trendsetters. I always found the term a bit ridiculous. People wear clothes for tons of reasons. Stockbrokers, maids, teachers, janitors, supermodels, rock stars, nuns. We wear them to stay warm, out in the cold. To cool down, and jump in the sea. That first date, the wedding gown, our Sunday best. The person makes the outfit, a bit of moxy and anything goes. I know what I like, when I see it. I don't care about 'the rules.' Have fun, be kooky, experiment with different looks. becauseimaddicted.net blogger Geri Hirsch, Trends To Try This Fashion Week at LEAF Fashion Week on StyleHaul, is full on style, posh and young.
Who says you can't wear a jean shirt with jeans? None of the 80's rockers, that's for sure. Geri wears denim well. Short shorts, paired with a twill jacket, sophisticated and modern. Ah, to be young again, the sky's the limit and your own personal Fashion closet.

Back to makeup & beauty, the little Fashionable pretty things.

Pretty Young Thing

StyleHaul and http://bit.ly/LEAFNY have teamed up and are hitting NYFW, in style. Black Sedan, driver, ultimate luxury.
Makeup effortlessly applied by becauseimaddicted.net blogger Geri Hirsch, she gives us a front row seat, into her hectic day. Easy makeup application technique, Geri takes it up a notch. Filling in the brow, was right on point. (We've seen statement brows at countless shows this season, Tibi a major contender.) Individual lashes applied from the back seat of her car, genius! They change her whole look, opening her eye and creating a bit of mystery. Adding a funky liquid liner tip for the evening, using a business card or an invite, adds a bit of drama. (I was taught to use a credit card, but hey, whatever gets you through the night.)
The white applied inside the eye, at the crucial halfway point, was an Espresso pick me up, only better. Sans the jitters and the caffeine crash.
I would have like to seen a few brand mentions, for our readers and loyal fans of StyleHaul.com and http://bit.ly/LEAFNY. We still have a few days left, before wrapping up. Can't wait to see what Fashion and Beauty tricks Geri has, up her sleeve. So far, so good.

If I Were President

With all the political drama carrying on, I'll join in for two seconds. Womens' rights are being SERIOUSLY challenged, all over again. It's 2012, we have IPhones, Smartphones, Androids, Flat screens, Blue Ray, Electric Cars, landed on the Moon and Mars, yet still can't get along.
We disagree on the simplest of principals. Every single man, woman and child, deserves the right to be free. Freedom of choice is our birthright.

That's why today, I'm choosing nuNAAT. One because it's sexy, Brazilian luxe and two, because it makes my hair look like a million bucks. I'm a lady plain and simple, I'm allowed a few luxuries. Indulging in premium haircare, because I can. And because, I'm worth every hard earned nickel.

nuNAAT

nuNAAT's Keratin line is "Everyday Moisture that Reduces Volume & Frizz"

"NAAT Brazilian Keratin collection restores and intensifies your hair's nutritional balance, leaving it incredibly smooth, strong and flexible. Unlike typical animal-based keratins, our exclusive Green Keratin formula stays in your hair longer and is more resistant to rinsing. Promotes vibrancy and hydration, giving hair a natural, healthy shine."

I am a fan of nuNAAT's Brazilian Liquid Keratin Leave-In Reconstructor. The whole line smells scrumptious, clean and fresh. I love the convenience of a leave in Liquid Keratin, let the product work it's magic, while you're on the go. My dull, treated hair looks shinier and healthier than it has in years.

With NY Fashion Week  & models hair gone wild, the locks fried by the end of the week. nuNAAT Intensive Hair Mask, a super deluxe rich cream, formulated with green keratin restores thickness, shine and softness. Just what the supermodel Dr. ordered. Leave on 15 minutes, you are one step away from silky, smooth hair again. I LOVE the radical pink do, but this beauty will need nuNAAT and some tender, loving haircare.

It's back to ruling the world, with gorgeous, glamorous locks.
Women unite. Remember, there is solidarity & strength in numbers.
That is beautiful.
