An ingenue, up on a box, dressed in fish nets, chains, with crazy golden locks belted out tunes until the sun came up. Madonna, before she was Madonna, was smack dab in the eye of the storm. I had arrived. The city was tingling, raw and bursting with talent. It was infectious.
Andy Warhol paved the way, for all us country girls & boys, with big dreams.
